“Genuinely and Completely Loved by Two Families”
Amanda has cystic fibrosis. She chose adoption, knowing there would come a day she couldn't care for her daughter, and found lifelong friends at the agency that helped her through it.

When I came to Heart to Heart, I was pregnant with a beautiful baby girl.
I had gotten life flighted because I caught pneumonia. I couldn’t breathe. I was turning blue. Not long after i wasn’t able to keep any food or liquids down. I went to the hospital twice for this and then I was diagnosed with refeeding syndrome.
I have cystic fibrosis. My biggest reason for choosing adoption was because I knew there would come a day when I couldn’t take care of her.
I have no way of knowing when that would happen. I didn’t want her to have to go through the foster care system. Adoption is not an easy decision and I agonized over whether or not I was doing the right thing.
The women of Heart to Heart put my mind and heart at ease. They provided everything that I needed throughout my pregnancy. There were activities and lunch every week. They provided transportation to and from doctor’s appointments.
I’ve met lifelong friends who work for Heart to Heart. I got to pick the adoptive parents and I was able to name my daughter.
The adoption went smoothly, and I have an open adoption with my baby and her parents.
I can’t stress enough that if you’re considering giving your child up to adoption, Heart to Heart is the best agency. This isn’t just a job to the people of Heart to Heart. They genuinely care about the child, the birth mother as well as adoptive parents.
Genuine Love From Two Families
Even though the decision I made was heart-wrenching I’m glad I made it, because my baby is genuinely and completely loved by her biological family and her adoptive family. I know that they will be able to give her every opportunity that they can.
